The Santa Marina Golf course has 18 holes, designed by Severiano Ballesteros, and all kind of facilities as for example, driving range, paddle, social club,... all of them situated in a typical house of Cantabria dated of XVI century and a sanctuary dated of XVII and surrounded in a spectacular natural landscape based on woods, streams along the course.

The Santa Marina Golf is the first 18 holes course designed by Severiano Ballesteros in Cantabria, with this course; Cantabria has a modern and competitive golf club, situated in a privileged and spectacular place.

It is a course with a wide range of holes all of them enhaced in the natural enviroment. The first 9 holes are more complicated than the seconds 9. The first part of the course is wider and it is necessary to give more importance to the "large play", while the second part is narrower due to the river's obstacles and absolutely plane.

However, it is this second part where the strategy and precision are more important, due to the different streams and obstacles that affect directly to these holes.

As Severiano Ballesteros says: "The biggest difficulties of the course are in the holes 13,14 and 15", that Ballesteros compares with the famous "Amen Corner", "and once you have passed correctly these holes, the match is for you".

This a course designed for all kind of players, it's funny and amusing for the highest handicaps and could be a difficult test for the professionals, where it is neccessary to use all clubs of the bag.
